Objective
AV Media Systems was briefed to integrate state-of-the-art AV technology within several rooms of the headquarters of a major utilities company based in Melbourne. For this installation, our team worked within the constraints of an existing design, and we were still able to ensure that the clients AV needs were met upon project completion. This project exemplified our ability to organize, design and implement outside of the luxury of involvement during the early planning stages. It is even more important at this later stage of development to bring in a company with the resources and expertise to effectively manage the procurement of the equipment and installation for a pre-existing design.
Our Solution
The five-room project included equipping their meeting rooms, training rooms and a high-end boardroom with the latest projection and audio visual systems. The newly integrated AV system was tied together by a large matrix switcher. Our team provided extensive programming to simplify the use of the AV equipment in the rooms. All equipment and lighting in the rooms are controlled through user friendly touch panel systems on the boardroom table and the walls within the training rooms and meeting rooms.
Equipment Utilised
Samsung 60” and 42” HD Plasma Screens, in ceiling speakers, touch panel system; LCD projector; sound reinforcement; document cameras; tabletop and wireless microphones; lighting controls; matrix switchers; floor boxes and equipment racks with video.
Fitness Centre
Objective
AV Media Systems was briefed to do a full fit-out of a gymnasium which is to become the flagship state of the art gymnasium for a Melbourne based fitness group. The project required designing and installing Paging Systems, LCD Panels for viewing entertainment throughout the centre, audio systems in aerobics/fitness room, pillates room, weights room and spin room, internal and outdoor surveillance
The building was newly built and required av Media Systems to work in with the contracted builder and their building timing schedule. As the main building works carried over the expected completion date, it placed av Media Systems under considerable pressure to ensure that the entire audio visual fit out be completed in a time frame half of what was initially scheduled to meet the fitness centre opening date.
Our Solution
To ensure that the fitness centre could open on time, av Media Systems revised the installation schedule and work was carried out in two daily shifts over a one and a half week period including one weekend. Almost 60% of the audio visual systems were actually assembled and programmed within our warehouse whilst pre-cabling was being done during the day and then transported and installed as “turn key” systems into the gymnasium in the second evening shift.
A state of the art system was designed making it user friendly to all gym staff. In addition, comprehensive training was provided to all gym staff and extensive step by step trouble shooting notes were created for the gym staff.
Equipment Utilised
Samsung 60” and 42” HD Plasma Screens and LCD Screens, Bosch in ceiling speakers throughout the centre, touch panel system; sound reinforcement; Samsung CCTV cameras and DVR; tabletop and wireless microphones; DIGIPAGE Paging system, lighting controls; floor boxes and equipment racks to house all of the individual units, iPod docs, Video camera, sub woofers in the Spin, Pilates and Cardio rooms.
Medical
Objective
A Melbourne Hospital requested a meeting room where the architectural beauty of the room can be maintained and more than 20 people can easily and effectively participate in a meeting in a comfortable environment. In addition, all screens must be viewed from any position in the room enabling participants to walk around the room and still view the screens. The technology had to be user friendly for medical professionals.
In addition, a designated training room for student medical staff was required whereby training sessions may be conducted utilizing a large screen projector, interactive whiteboards, a video and audio system.
Our Solution
The team at av Media Systems pooled together systems integrators from its other state offices to design and engineer a system that would deliver a state of the art room where both the Medical Board of Directors and medical staff can utilize.Multiple ceiling mounted 40” Plasma screens were strategically positioned throughout the room allowing participants to presentations from anywhere in the room. Flat panel displays were also built into the presenters desk allowing the presenter to view their own presentation.
A touch panel display was programmed with easy to navigate menus to operate the entire audio visual system in the room. The outcome achieved was creating a meeting space formal enough where the Board can meet and that could be easily utilized by other medical professionals for training purposes incorporating the latest audio visual technology to enhance presentations and training.
The training room was designed to be user friendly by any presenter with the least knowledge in operating an AV system. A systems rack was produced housing all of the equipment including a laptop whereby a presenter can simply insert a memory stick into the laptop and use the system for training with great ease. Naturally, a comprehensive and detailed user manual was also created to assist in using the system and trouble shooting.
Equipment Utilised
3x Samsung LCD Screens, Interactive Whiteboard, Control System, touch screen control panel, equipment racks, Bosch in ceiling speakers, lighting controls.
